Enslow Sponsoring SLJ Nonfiction Webcast- Register Today!
Enslow Publishers is a proud sponsor of SLJ's Nonfiction Spring 2010 Book Buzz!
There’s a lot of competition to get and keep the attention of young
readers. When it comes to books, fiction is often thought to outshine
nonfiction, though we know that's not necessarily true. The key is to find nonfiction books that dazzle, amaze, and have kids saying, "Wow! I didn't know that. I want to know more!" In answering their homework questions or simply addressing curiosity on a subject, the one thing kids don't want is a long, boring, drawn-out explanation, whether it's from you or a nonfiction book. And you definitely to provide them with reliable information that will support their research needs. Enthusiasm, fast facts, and cool, interesting information – that’s what our publishers want to provide with the titles featured in the SLJ Nonfiction Spring 2010 Book Buzz!

Click here for the full review from SLJ.
SLJ has reviewed one of Enslow Publishers, Inc 's latest series, Ace It! Information Literacy. These titles are among those chosen that "can help support the efforts to make our children readers, writers, and, most importantly, thinkers."
For grades 3-4, these books are "will work for independent readers, and they will also be good resources for teachers or librarians to offer when they sense that students may be intimidated by either the research process or by making presentations."

SLJ's Diane Chen has something to say about our 200 Years with Abraham Lincoln book!
200 Years with Abraham Lincoln: One Man's Life and Legacy by Helen Koutras Bozonelis. Enslow. 2008
"This title may be my favorite of the three. It has breadth and depth. The information will last longer than during one year of celebrating. Older students are willing to pick this up to read and research while teachers are reading the previous two titles to classes. In 64 pages this title includes photographs, memorabilia, quotations, and side bars to keep interest high. The layout is clean and the text reads well. Many of the important highlights of Lincoln's life are included. Overall, this was a very satisfying read for an introduction to Lincoln."
